And to be honest, I think that Ianto (and even Jack, to a certain extent) chooses to pick his battles. The "Public Discharge of Weapon" form never gets done, but the "Alien in Custody" and "Monthly Requisitions" forms *do*. Anyway, it's not like there's a home office to whom they have to justify themselves (well, at least, not at the moment...)

Hey, I never said Ianto had to actually fill them out, he just goes around withholding coffee until certain (more necessary) forms magically appear on his desk ^_^ After all, prior to Canary Wharf (and I'm fudging a bit here, but given a few of his comments in S2 it really sounds like he'd already transferred to TW-3 when Canary Wharf happened and was just back visiting), it was his job to ship paperwork back to Home Office (and even if he hadn't transferred out, the man whose job he took would have).

*G* Glad you liked it, and a belated congrats on your snow days! Sadly, the entire Vancouver mainland got pounded by massive amounts of the white stuff, and we got sunny skies! Only one snow day, which was Tuesday (and more because of black ice), and we still had evening classes anyway (I had an 18-2100 class on WWI)!!

Such is life on the Island, sadly. I have survived, although slightly more sleep-deprived than I might otherwise have been, and with a bit more scrambling to do before I vanish for 4 days next week.

Mostly his comments about how *he's* supposed to know anything and everything about the hub (in Sleeper). It implies a familiarity with the work environment which seems a bit extreme for a year and change (presuming he transferred after Canary Wharf, putting him at a max of 2 years in the Hub when he makes the comments. Not impossible for him to have transferred then, but it seems unlikely if he's implying he's got a better knowledge of the place than Jack has.

Added, although in an unofficial context. I have trouble believing they'd actually record (especially in the days before Jack) bringing an alien back to the hub just to have sex with it. Unanticipated fringe benefit? Yes. But they'd totally process the alien under "diplomatic purposes" (or possibly "medical" purposes if it was having a "must have sex or die" kind of day).

Oh Ianto, you are my soulmate (or is it cellmate?) in paperwork hell. Cause you know what's on par with having to fill out crappy paperwork? Having to order it. Lots and lots of forms that you may or may not personally use, but are yet responsible for having them in stock and organized and up-to-date even if no one actually tells you when the supply is low or out and they *know* that it takes at *least* three weeks to get them in (because you've told them a million times) but they only tell you when the last one is in their hand and they're angry because apparently you are supposed to be psychically connected to the forms and know when the supply is low. Nevermind you created a handy white board so that ppl could write this stuff down for you so that you wouldn't have to bring it up, yet again, in the group meeting and sound evermore pissy and bitter about the torture known as being the supplies/ordering person. Er. So. I understand Ianto's pain?
