Been meaning to get this pulled together for quite a while. Yay! for procrastination, eh?
What It Is:
Simply put, it's a list of "Things I Want". For those pesky things like birthdays and other gift-giving occasions. Not monetary things, but fannish things. Icons, Covers (For My Fic), Fic, Etc
What It Means to You:
Absolutely nothing. No, really. This list comes with no strings attached. This is, as much as anything, a list of creative endeavours that I'd love to undertake but don't have the time for. The next time my birthday comes around, or the Winter Holidays, or whatever, I'd love to receive something off of here, but it's certainly not something I expect of any of my friends. We've all got busy lives.
The List, Perpetually Updated as Things Occur to Me

- Art
- Covers for any of my fanfic universes: Memoirs(SGA), Bridges(SGA), or Bound (Torchwood)
- Covers for any of my Stories (One-shots or Universe Components): Examples include Tears Unshed and Gone for a Soldier, but anything I've published that is currently cover-less/header-less is fair game. Even things I haven't completed (any of the proposed fics on the To Do List) would be great. Most of them have rough outlines and pairings up, after all, and imagery can do wonders for the imagination.
- Icons - Please, Please, Make Me Icons
- Icons from the Avengers fandom(s). Specifically:
- A Captain America/Iron Man icon
- A Tony Stark or Iron Man solo icon. Possibilities:
- - Something addressing his need to self-destruct
- - Something addressing his "heartless" condition
- - "Tony Stark: Work-in-Progress"
- - "Art is never finished, merely abandoned"
- A Spider-Man icon with "Wait, you did what with who??" (or something to that effect) - Fandom-Related Icons:
- Comics
- Crack!Fic (or just Crack!)
- Kid!Fic
- "@%#$ Narnia!?!" - Good icons involving the following expressions/comments:
- Fair shall the end be, though long and hard shall be the road...
- Obsessive, Compulsive, World-Builder
- Bitch, please
- Squee!
- WTF?
- *Headdesk*
- Work In Progress - Fiction
The key here is Realism and Internal Consistency, people. Why, no, I'm not demanding at all. Why do you ask...? - Specific Plots:
- Concept: Crossover Piece - New Avengers (or just Avengers) & CSI:NY
Due to some kind of authorial hand-waving device, Marvel Universe and the CSI universe cross (or possibly have coexisted all along, depending on how you handle it and when in the various time-lines you set it). Because they're CSIs and thus only see crime scenes after-the-fact (or at least have been CSIs since the whole "Super Hero" rumors started), Super Heroes are believed to be at best an exaggeration and at worst an out-of-control urban legend. They're not real.
Then something happens, and the two "worlds" cross. Maybe there's a death in Stark Tower. Maybe there's Web-residue on a victim (because it's always Peter's fault). Maybe Vibranium broke some sacred law of physics and Mac's having an attack of Newtonian Indignation. Play around with it, have fun. - Discovery Fic.
D!F is a term I use to refer to someone learning about a relationship who was previously unaware; this can be by walking in on a couple, overhearing something, etc. I'm a sucker for it. - Outsider Fic.
O!F is similar to D!F, except generally involves someone "in the know" (often more than one someone) and their interactions with someone *not* "in the know" (who generally has some tie with one of the informed persons, and knew them before their involvement with whatever they're now involved with). An example being the cliché of bringing home the significant other to meet the parents/family/sibling. I love fic where the uninformed party knows something's not-quite-right, but doesn't have enough information to figure out why, and the reader's sitting there waiting for the inevitable revelation/confrontation/etc. - General Crossover Fic.
I love mixing and matching universes and finding unexpected character similarity or camaraderie(sp?). My only constraint is that it be handled realistically - if someone like Dean Winchester is getting into the SGC, I want some acknowledgement that he's got a criminal record and that it took a presidential mandate to get him in the door (and a legit reason *for* said mandate, because really? He'd totally be consulted "upstairs" and never told about the Gate).
Almost, but not quite:
