Miriel
Preface: Most of you have likely noticed that it's been rather longer than normal between Part 8 and Part 9. The delay can be directly attributed to my "real life"; I carry an academic & extracurricular schedule which can, at best, be characterized as heavier-than-average. As a result, I'm doing the grown-up thing and taking [info]kijikun up on her offer to go back to soloing the fic (I signed on initially as a beta, back in the day, and got sucked into a more active role). Thus, as of tonight, I'm officially off the project. It was fun while it lasted, and I hope you've all enjoyed the ride this far. Thanks for all the lovely FB you've left in the last few months ^_^

For those wishing to continue to follow the series, [info]kijikun will be posting subsequent parts to [info]cap_ironman and her own journal.

Title: All That Remains (9/?)
Previous Parts: Part 1, Part 2, Part 3, Part 4, Part 5, Part 6, Part 7, Part 8
Authors: [info]kijikun & [info]mardahin
Rating: PG-13 (NC-17 Overall)
Pairing: Steve Rogers/Tony Stark
Warnings: Spoilers through "Fallen Son", references to an institutionalized childhood
Author's Notes: Marvel Time is always kind of flexible, so we're setting this somewhere in the first half of 2008. Secret Invasion does not exist in our universe. Nope, never happened. Oh, and I think this is a new record for ATR - over 5,000 words in this part. As always, con-crit welcome.

Summary: Things would have been easier if I could have hated you.

Almost, but not quite: relieved

General FYI: With the start of the academic year, something relevant to both my co-writer and myself, we're going to be shifting onto a structured posting schedule. A new part will go up every Sunday. This part, however, is the exception to the rule, as it is [info]kijikun's birthday, and she wanted to post this early.

Title: All That Remains (5/?)
Previous Parts: Part 1, Part 2, Part 3, Part 4
Authors: [info]kijikun & [info]mardahin
Rating: PG-13 (eventual NC-17)
Pairing: Steve Rogers/Tony Stark (Implied)
Warnings: Spoilers through "Fallen Son", references to an institutionalized childhood
Author's Notes: Marvel Time is always kind of flexible, so we're setting this somewhere in the first half of 2008. As always, con-crit welcome.

Summary: Franklin Richards had met some odd people in his life.

Almost, but not quite: contemplative

Title: All That Remains (2/?)
Previous Parts: Can be found here
Authors: [info]kijikun & [info]mardahin
Rating: PG-13, NC-17 Overall
Pairing/Characters: Steve Rogers/Tony Stark (Past & Eventual)
Warnings: Spoilers through "Fallen Son"
Author's Note: We're really cruising, at the moment, which is kind of fun and kind of terrifying. As a result, here's part two, a bit earlier than expected.

Summary: Given that one of his perpetual fears since Stark had taken over SHIELD was that the man would commit suicide-by-supervillain, Dum-Dum couldn't decide if the new development was a positive one or not.

Almost, but not quite: busy

Author's Preface: Somehow (don't ask me how, because I don't pretend to understand these things, and my brain sure as hell doesn't consult me), I've ended up co-authoring a Captain America/Iron Man fic with [info]kijikun. Because I'm involved, it's probably going to end up massive and horrifically world-built. Don't hold it against my co-author. Technically my second major collaborative venture, although this one promises to be much better on the general communication front. All I'll say at this point is that it's an incredibly intriguing premise, once it gets underway, and should lead to some very interesting sociological stuff. Also, Cap isn't dead, he just glows in the dark. And (possibly) spontaneously bursts into flames with distressing regularity. Really. It'll, well, it'll make sense in a few weeks.

Title: All That Remains (1/?)
Authors: [info]kijikun and [info]mardahin
Rating: PG-13, (NC-17 Overall)
Pairing/Characters: implied Steve Rogers/Tony Stark
Warnings: Spoilers up through "Fallen Son".
Beta: [info]adafrog
Kiji's A/N: Much thanks to my beta. And Miriel for keeping me on track and helping me hammer things out.

Summary: In retrospect, it was the answer to all of the questions he'd carefully avoided asking, all of the things he hadn't wanted to look at too closely.
