Normally, my daily caloric intake is 1200. I'm really strict about this, both regarding overage and under-eating, because I'm (normally) carrying a high enough activity level that I can't afford too much variation.

It's Halloween.

In honor of this fact, I've given up and after much debate have changed my personal intake to 2000, just for today. Then, I get to hit the pool both tomorrow and Sunday to make-up for that (and in anticipation of the lack of pool distance while I'm at BASCon, although I still intend to hit their fitness centre. Heck, it might be a good incentive to actually get back into my dryland routine, which I've been neglecting badly as a result of Grad School Stress).

Wow, do I suck at that whole dedication/self-control thing, sometimes.

After 3 weeks of eating no wheat and minimal eggs and dairy, don't eat any of the chocolate cake your flatmate left out in the kitchen. Not even a bite. Especially if it's just generic cake and nothing special. It doesn't matter that it's a holiday, especially since you're already paying for the piece of chocolate bunny you ate earlier.

It's just not worth the stomach ache, dumbass.

*Curls up in corner*

ETA: The reason for this lovely mental note is the fact that I was picking at the milk chocolate bunny, and ended up eating half of it. I think I want to die now.

ETA2: For the sake of posterity, there's the possibility that this is because of the half-dozen pieces of tortellini I grabbed off the plate in the fridge after having shot my day to hell with the bunny-bits.

Either way? I'm fully resolved to be a lot more careful in the future. Sheesh. Apparently 3 weeks is long enough to need to ease into a food group again. *Headdesk*
