So, here I am, freaking out about everything under the sun (and believe me, there is plenty), and what does [info]plsteward do??

SHE MAKES ME A COVER FOR The Enemy You Know!!!

Now, I may have written her a short fic about Hermiod and Jelly Bellies in exchange, but I never expected results nearly this quickly, or anywhere near as close to what I'd been conceptualizing.

Seriously, this just totally made my evening. Especially after the nasty blow-out fight w/ mom this afternoon that was over frakking nothing.

So, again, check out the cover. It rocks. I'll have it linked from the story page sometime tomorrow, as well as hosted on my server, but for now it's LJ-server based.

[info]sga_flashfic strikes again...
There are days I simply adore [info]cesperanza, and then there are days I think I want to strangle her.

I'm not sure which today is.

You see, she runs [info]sga_flashfic. And she has extended the Scars challenge through the weekend.

This morally obligates me to write a Michael fic about the scars referenced in The Enemy You Know. I can't decide if I want to do one set years afterward, or a missing scene from the fic proper.

Thoughts? Dead fish? Ancient shopping lists?

Title: Broken Promises
Author: [info]mardahin
Rating: PG
Author's Note: One of many snapshots into the future of The Enemy You Know, this one was written as a combination of the Return challenge on [info]sga_flashfic and a request from [info]adnar_el and [info]fred_god_of for more of the Enemy 'verse. Roughly 1400 words, and does deal in part with the death of a child.

Summary: The healer continued on, oblivious to her inner struggle. "I can’t help him if I can’t take a look at him. I’m not going to hurt your boy, I promise.”

Emma shook her head, speaking before she could think better of it. “But you already have.”

Since I can't promise that they'll be finished today, you're getting a brief teaser from the two "prompt" induced pieces that are still looking to go off the deep end. Titles are unconfirmed, and subject to change.

Sarah McKay's Wedding. Think booze. Think lots and lots of booze. )

Title: The Passage of Shadows
Author: [info]mardahin
Quick-Beta: [info]scififreak (Thanks to [info]wychwood for title help)
Rating: PG.
Warnings: Um, apparently I'm on an infanticide spree, but nothing graphic.
Author's Note: This is a glimpse into the future hinted at in The Enemy You Know that I've been wanting to write for a while; the [info]sga_flashfic Sickness prompt gave me the impetus to do so. I have one other snapshot from this universe that I want to do eventually as well; we'll see when I get it up.

Summary: When Emma was six years old, the skies turned black.
